M. Night Shyamalan is working on a live-action television show based on the iconic Magic 8 Ball!
The 55-year-old filmmaker is teaming up with Brad Falchuk—known for shows like Glee and American Horror Story—and Mattel for the new scripted series, reports Deadline.

According to the official description, the show will “reimagine the classic Magic 8 Ball as the centerpiece of a high-concept, character-driven supernatural drama that blends psychological intensity with cultural intrigue.”
The Signs director and the toy company announced the project on Instagram, posting the cover page of the pilot’s script with a Magic 8 Ball perched on top.
The photo indicates that M. Night is directing the pilot, with Brad credited as the writer.
While the Oscar-nominated creator is best known for his horror movies, he has dabbled in television before, most notably with his Apple TV+ series Servant.
